The Brahmavaivarta Purana is a voluminous Sanskrit text and a major Purana (Maha-purana) of Hinduism. It is an important Vaishnavism text and majorly centers around the Hindu deities Radha and Krishna¹.

The Brahma Vaivarta Purana contains four parts: Brahma-khanda, Prakrti-khanda, Ganapati-khanda, and Krishna-janma-khanda¹. The Brahma-khanda section of the text is dedicated to the rituals and practices of the Vaishnavas¹.
